Perseverance, a word that has always defined me, having been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF) at birth, diabetes in my early 20s, and an ACL tear during my junior year of college. When I tore my right ACL for the second time during my rookie campaign with the Minnesota Vixen (Women’s semi-professional tackle football team), there was really only one option: to persevere. However, sometimes you can’t do it alone. A year post-surgery, although playing in every game, I was still struggling to complete the last 10% of recovery. The Training HAUS staff is constantly working with me to create the best possible plan-of-attack, from focusing on improved mechanics to incorporating conditioning to combat CF and prepare me for the 2019 season. The HAUS staff has restored my confidence in my own body and is building me into a stronger, quicker, and healthier athlete than ever before.
